Artist Statement

I was born in 1972 in Aichi, Japan.

My works of art are like “magical language.” Yet these works must transcend language and reshape one’s perception of the world.

It can be said that is a contradiction. However, I think that it is a work of art that identifies the contradiction.

I am an artist who creates comics, videos, paintings, and music incorporates elements from Japanese subculture.
The personal philosophy for my art work has been influenced by the thinking of surrealism and Zen.

“Everything is nothing.”

I declare myself a BUG(as computer terminology) in the world. Like an artist, a bug has unpredictable transformational power to change the world.
